“Dancing in the Moonlight”

“Jenna, what can I say? We are absolutely delighted with our painting, it’s wonderful. Due to your suggestions, our vague idea of what we wanted turned into this fabulous artwork. As you can see from the photograph it ties in perfectly with our decor.

Thank you so much for keeping us updated from our initial meeting to picking up the finished painting. It’s been a pleasure.”

Mary G, Scotland

Mary got in touch with me shortly after moving into her new home. She was redecorating the living room, and she wanted a large bespoke painting to be displayed on a feature wall. As Mary lives locally to me, I was able to go out and see the space in person. She showed me her colour scheme and gave me a sample of the wallpaper to take away with me.

Mary had followed my work on social media for some time and was keen for an ocean-inspired piece to tie in with her decor, but she and her husband didn’t have a definite idea of what they would like the piece to look like. I explored options with them and we decided an abstract work representing moonlight reflecting on waves would tie in beautifully with their decor. We chose purples and blues and I sent Mary a small colour study for her to see before I began the larger piece.

My aim was to create a statement piece of art that’s calming while inviting the viewer to enjoy all the little details which can be seen by moving closer. Beautiful splashes of silver dance along the shoreline of this long, captivating artwork.

This large 140cm x 60cm piece was beautifully finished with a custom-made floating frame, allowing the artwork to stand out against the complimenting colours of the wall decor.

Mary later requested a set of bespoke coasters, and I created a beautiful purple, blue and silver set which co-ordinates perfectly with her painting and decor.
